FOALS

Formed in 2005, Foals is a five-piece outfit based in Oxford. Like Devo, Steve Reich and the DFA doing '90s dance-pop with guitars in a suburb of Cologne.

Foals combine poly-rhythmic guitars and dance oriented drum-lines; creating air-clasping off-kilter pop songs pregnant with transparent sunshine and the attention span of toddler bath-times past.

Somehow the two tracks on their (hand numbered, super heavy) debut seven inch were both minimal and overflowing with notes... Did we mention that they had three guitarists at this point? We probably should have. Try Harder-era Foals featured Andrew from Youthmovies on vocals and guitars and we’re proud to have caught em before they undoubtedly get huge.
